Well! This set off some serious debate at STSWine headquarters. From: I think it's a fantastic idea, it'll really catch on - great for drivers or pregnant people, to I didn't start this company to sell fu%*$ng non-alcoholic spirits, to if it tastes even remotely like gin I'd keep a bottle of the shelf, just for late morning/early afternoon drinking. Opinions were...shall we say...mixed!
(Upsettingly for some people) upon tasting the spirits from the Clean Liquor Company, we were very impressed. They have a kick to them and while it is not probably the kick of a true alcoholic spirit, it CERTAINLY emulates the experience. It is made as a gin in the traditional still, using botanicals. It achieves a level of complexity without the alcohol. (Extraordinary really!).
This is a fantastic bottle to have on hand at home for any occasion that you may want or need a stiff drink but can't go full contact and great to offer a guest that may be abstaining. And remember - whatever you think, fever tree rescues all! A cocktail is only as good as it's mixer! STSWine
(By the way - you can have 22 Clean Liquor G & T's for every one 'real' G & T)
