Starting on the lighter end of the spectrum, Ata Rangi Crimson Pinot Noir 2019 from Martinborough is one of the world's most formidable entry level wines, Ata Rangi are referred to as the Grand Cru of New Zealand, 94 Points from Bob Campbell. Isole Olena Chianti Classico 2018 is regularly cited as a spiritual Chianti Classico leader, the 2018 was recently awarded 93 Points by James Suckling for it's purity and polish.
On the heavier end, the famed Telmo Rodriguez-produced Remelluri Reserva Rioja 2014 is a critical darling, Tim Atkin recently giving it 94 points and describing it as fresh, nuanced, Atlantic-style red with tobacco pouch, sweet spice and red berry fruit and a backbone of acidity. Finishing with one of Serralunga d'Alba in Barolo's best producers. Massolino Barolo 2017 scooped 95 Points from Wine Enthusiast recently, with Jancis Robinson adding that it was simply delicious and definitely one of the vintage's best buys.
