Fabian Jouves has become a cult wine maker over the last few years on the back of his flamboyantly made, labelled and named Vin de Soif range (thirst quenching). He has a traditional Cahors label called Mas del Perie which makes Malbec according to the rules of the appellation. His vin de soif allows him to walk on the wildside. All unfixed and unfiltered, bio-dynamic and ruggedly wild, these wines verge on the bananas at times in theory and blend, but they are ALWAYS confoundingly delicious.
This 6er has his Les Agudes white blend, his Skin Contact Organge wine (the most delicious and approachable Orange I've ever tasted), Somnam Bulles, a Malbec Rose Pet Nat sparkling, which must be the first of its kind, Haute Cot(e) de Fruit is his entry red and is 100% Melbec, Tu Vin Aus Soirees (you are no longer welcome at this party) is his Malbec led blend and Nectar des Dieux (Nectar of the Gods) a blend featuring Muscat de Hamburg, a truly bats wine that nearly tastes like Red Gewurtztraminer.
