Priorat sometimes seems like an also ran in Spanish wine, but it is one of only two DOC's (the top classification) in Spain, the other being La Rioja. Priorat's penchant for squeezing every last bit of power out of every bottling, in a region already known for alcohol and concentration is further complicating it's standing in the minds of modern consumers who are looking for more grace and elegance.
Fredi has created a Priorat here which communicates the unique terroir of Priorat but captures a line of freshness too, all while capturing that trademark Priorat concentration. Fully organic and Biodynamic. He uses only a twist of wood. Let the fruit do its thing.
