Red Wine /// Touriga Nacional // Lisboa / Portugal
Quinta do Gradil was founded in 1492 and is one of the country's oldest producers. They have been awarded best winery by Vinho Grandes Escolhas (Portugal's wine and gastronomical bible). They work with indigenous varieties and specialise in well made, classic styles.
Only so much Port can actually get made in Portugal by law, so typically it means that there is a lot of pristine fruit lying around after vintage is concluded. This is a bit of a galaxy blend of all the Portuguese varieties including Tinta Barroca, Roriz, Franca and Nacionale. Sustainably made with a nice lick of French oak. This is mega value. STSWine
