On the reds, Clonakilla Hilltops Shiraz from Canberra, is an incredible neo-classical Aussie style modelled on the Syrahs of Cote Rotie. Steeped in Irish tradition, the backstory is fascinating. Stephen Pannell, the maestro of the McLaren Value utilises Grenache, Shiraz and Touriga in his GST blend, Stephen was named Gourmet Traveller Wine maker of the year.
