Domaine des Lises Crozes Hermitage is 100% Syrah from Crozes, made by the irrepressible Maxime Graillot. It is juicy and elegant. Completing a who's who of the North; Bonnefond Sensation du Nord, also 100% Syrah.
Moving to the South, a serious wine with an unserious label Maitheu Barret Les Petite Ourse, 100% Syrah from near Vissan, fully organic. La Roubine Sablet is a Grenache-led blend, also organic, made by the mayor of Gigondas. Atelier de Source La Traversee is a Syrah-led blend made from organic fruit by Irishman Simon Tyrell. STSWine
