Arnold Holzer and Claus Preisinger are two such talented winemakers, barely 40, they are already veterans of the industry. Holzer specialises in white varietals, Gruner Veltliner, Riesling, Roter Veltliner. Preisinger deals in reds: Zweigelt, St. Laurent, Blaufrankisch. The wines are incredibly well made, clean and shimmer with tension, bright fruits and buzzy acidity. Gruner is a particular treat on the white spectrum, displaying what's often described as re-appearing acidity - it's like a Willy Wonka Wine. The reds are incredible, ignore how hard they are to pronounce.
From Holzer on the whites, Zero-G is clinical Gruner Veltliner, with that signature re-appearing acidity. INVASION OF GREAT TASTE is a skin-contact Muller-Thurgau, a great introduction to an orange wine. 'Das Geholz' Roter Veltliner is a textural gem, Burgundian in style with layers and layers of flavour. Preisinger's bio-dynamic beauties display the galaxy of red character, Puszta Libre! is a blend of them all raised in steel, Kieselstein is 100% Zweigelt and Kalkstein is Blaufrankisch.
