We love Californian wines, and this 6er is a great intro to the region looking at the main styles an varieties through the prism of three distinctly different producers from old school to modern to cool. Most importantly it offers terrific value for what is one of the world's more exensive wine regions.


Viano Vineyards were one of the first producers in the San Fran. region and one of the last remaining (real eatate makes boutique wine production difficult to justify.
