2 of each: Invasion of Taste, Gruner Vet. and Riesling!
This is some funky shit. Arnold Holzer was 22 when he took over the winery. This white 6-Pack showcases the cutting edge of the new Austrian wine scene. Dynamic practices but huge drinkability, quirky packaging, but down to earth styles, these are a great into to Austrian dry whites.
Zero-G is a Gruner Veltliner, Austria's signature white grape. Often said to have re-appearing acidity (sounds like a Willy Wonka wine) it has racy fresh acidity but good texture too - label is inspired by the gravity defying mountain goats that populate the landscape near the winery. Ried Hinterberg Riesling is a scorching hot single vineyard dry as a bone Riesling grown off sandy soils. 'Invasion of Taste' has long been a favourite of ours, made of Muller Thurgau (a hybrid grape grown in a test tube). Fermented on skins it is a relatively safe introduction to 'orange wine'. Those familiar with the last vintage of the wine will notice the inside joke on the label - he received a cease and desist for the last vintage so he has had to change the design! STSWine
