You could walk across the top of this wine. It is mind bendingly dry and rustic with firm tannins. Given plenty of air in a decanter it will start to reveal it's layers of depth and flavour - COMES ALIVE A SERIOUS RED MEAT DISH!! This is like drinking a wine of the past. It finishes dry and slightly tannic with a delicate scent of violets. Still youthful, this needs plenty of aeration to show its best and it would be delicious with steak, preferably bistecca alla fiorentina, grilled with olive oil and salt. PASCAL ROSSINGOL
