The 2018 Chianti Classico kinda came along and took over the world last year, sweeping Decanter Magazine of its feet and scooping a 96 point review. A fantastic wine, it was stylistically very on trend, super-light and delicate. It also needed romance in the decanter and would reward time in the cellar.
2019 is a completely different beast. It is out and proud immediately, loads of Sangio-flavour leaping out of the glass at you. It is a whopper, tons of juicy concentration and layers of depth with a great and long finish. It is remarkably approachable as it seems good 2019's are shaping up to be. You could put this down a while if you wanted, but we recommend just drinking it in all it's primal and unruly beauty (undoubtedly a reflection of the wine maker!). STSWine
