2 x each of the Branco (White), Tinto (Red) & NAT COOL (1 Litre RED)
Portugese game-changers, ESPERA (meaning wait in Portugese) is the young project of young wine maker Rodrigo Martins in the region of Alcobaca. He uses only indigenous varieties, everything done by hand without any chemicals. He finds great acidity and purity, with complexity but LOW alcohol. ***Challenging style warning in the Branco! Highly unusual, Juraesque salty, flor-like texture.

The BRANCO is a funky and reasonably challenging wine - not one you would smash bottle after bottle of without food, rather this is a talk-piece, really unusual flavours that will fly with lunch. Made from a blend of indigenous varieties. The TINTO is all about minerality and savoury purity, an astonishing wine, it drinks more like a Cote de Nuits Burgundy, made from Castlenau. NAT COOL, is the Portuguese concept, 1 Litre of red wine designed to be drunk with a slight chill, this IS one for smashing with friends with or without food, preferably in fading evening sun or twilight, also Castelao grape. Future starts now for Portuguese wine. STSWine
