Bottle / RED
This is a mental wine. Like all of Fabien's wines it is made without chemicals or much intervention and it is certified organic & biodynamic. The label looks like a terrible acid trip (one imagines of course) and you can't even make out the name on the label - I had to ask. It's bottled under wax seal and blended as a non-vintage Vin De France.
It tastes crazy but crazy in a good way. The best way I can describe it is that it is like a red gewurtztraminer. I love it it and I'm not usually that way inclined. Lovely balance with low tannins and a good jolt of lively acidity supported by pure fruit. Awesome with food, particularly anti-pasto and cheese, this is one to crack with friends and pour the 1 litre liberally, though it can be drunk over 2 or 3 days with evolution before it starts showing oxidation - low sulphur I reckon.
