Description
Type:
Bottle / White
The 2016 Riesling Wehlener Klosterberg Kabinett (White Capsule) is clear, pure, fresh and mineral on the nose where citric notes are displayed. Bottled with just 10% alcohol, this is a dry yet lush and textured Kabinett with fine mineral and phenolic structure and excellent aging potential. Keep it for 4 to 5 years and then enjoy over up to 20+ years. 90 POINTS ROBERT PARKER
Site-typical in its apple garlanded with heliotrope and tinged with nutmeg, as well as in its subtle creaminess combined with invigorating tartness, this misses only the memorably savory, scallop-like aspect of the corresponding Haus Klosterberg bottling (which, as usual, leaned heavily on Wehlener Klosterberg). 90/100 VINOUS
