Rajat Parr, started out this century as sort of a Patron Saint of service industry professionals, particularly sommeliers. He is now America's most recognisable and successful winemakers, sucessfully steering Evening Land in Oregon back to greatness, and achieving ever more success with Sandhi and Domaine de La Cote in California along with interesting little side pieces like Nithya.
We love the wines of Sandhi and Evening Lands for their beautifully pure Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Nithya Cabernet Franc/Merlot is an unusual blend inspired by the Loire and Cahors, it showed very well at the California Summer Wine party last month and is beginning to hit it's straps. Domaine de la Cote 'DDLC' is simply may be the pound for pound best wine in the world at the moment. COMES WITH DEEP DIVE NOTES ON RAJAT PARR.
