Red Wine /// Listan Negro // Tenerife / Spain
Jancis Robinson named it her first 'wine of the week' for 2019, describing its nose as being of crushed rocks. So, if you are a big fan of having a good smell of crushed rocks - this is your guy.
Beautiful red wine from the 'Rife! The Canary Islands make some serious wines from indigenous varieties and ancient vines. The scourge of phylloxera never visited these islands making it one of the few areas in Europe with a true link to its viticultural past. This wine is earth shatteringly good every year, but I think this will be their best yet - incredible value for what you are getting. Very light in colour, firmer in body, it will go with or without food and has a beautiful and haunting nose. STSWine
