Argentina is a great example of a New World wine region producing a neo-classical expression of an old world variety. Argentinian Malbec has taken over the world, it's juicy, fruit forward approachability (with altitude driven acidic punch) standing largely in contrast to the Malbec of Cahors. Other wines and varietals are now coming to the fore.
