Novacorte Amarone 2018

Amarone is a big style of wine from the Veneto region in the North of Italy in the area of Valpolicella. It is traditionally a huge, muscular wine made from Covina and Rondinella, aided by the use of sun-dried grapes. In many cases the alcohol can go as high as 18% and be a strange mix of bitter and syrupy. This example has all of the rich savouriness of the expression but with a little more style.
