Mick and his wife Jeanine started Craven Wines in 2014, sourcing fruit from single vineyard sites in and around Stellenbosch and making “site-specific, honest wines”. Originally from Australia, Mick met Jeanine whilst working in Sonoma, California, before both moving to South Africa in 2011.

Six days of skin contact before six months of maturation in concrete “squares”. Rose, strawberry, red cherry, orange, fynbos and herbs while the palate has good fruit concentration, bright acidity and some light grip to the finish – a little more weight than previous vintages though not at the expense of vibrancy.
