He fully de-stems his reds, a practice that has been advocated by some of the best Burgundian wine makers over the years - though opinion is divided on it. The Bourgogne Rouge is from Chassagne-Montrachet, an area traditionally better known for it's whites. The wine comes from a parcel just to the South of the Premier Cru vineyard of Morgeot. Like the white, this punches well above its weight. It's bursting with luminous energy and it's intense and long. Displaying braun and power it somehow, like the best Red Burgundy, it remains light on it's feet. The epitome of a serious Bourgogne. Incred. STSWine
